You might have noticed that the Food Pantry shelves in the café were removed to allow for painting. A new collection area will soon be finished to collect non-perishable donations for the pantry. The pantry supplies food to 600 families in Franklin, which includes 570 children. A new mobile food pantry truck takes food to residents at 3 low-income housing communities in Franklin. Current needs include: baking items (flours, spices, mixes), crackers, granola bars, pasta sides, tuna, shampoo, & cat and dog food. There are also opportunities to volunteer at the pantry, including meeting with families, driving the mobile food truck, stocking shelves and many more. For more information or to volunteer contact Robin Cowper at RLCowper@gmail.com, or (508)520-3175, or go to www.franklinfoodpantry.org.
